Oven Gloves

Oven gloves are designed to handle hot objects especially to remove trays of food from the oven. Generally these are fabric gloves that are sold as singles and not in pairs. A typical oven glove is decorated with floral or a similar design. Modern oven gloves are coated with silicon in order to make them resistant to stains and water.

Though typical oven gloves are made out of cotton with an insulation material to keep the heat away there are modern oven gloves that are completely different from the old concepts of oven gloves. Instead of the single mitten the new gloves come in pairs. Most of them are made out of newer flame resistant material such as Nomex.

When it comes to design of the new oven gloves you get both mittens and gloves. Gloves allow you more freedom of the use of fingers in handling hot objects. They come in a plethora of colors. The light colored ones often are decorated with designs. While some gloves end at wrist, there are others that are longer and provide better protection.

Oven gloves are available in a wide price range. A good commercial grade oven glove will cost around $10 but a high quality oven glove will cost around $130. The difference of price is due to the technology and the material used. The applications for which they are designed also have a bearing on price. In case you are going to use your gloves in your kitchen when you bake things in the oven, a cheap oven glove will do.
