Imitation leather gloves are made from a few materials. One is the PU. This actually is made from animal skins but they are not made out of the real quality animal skin. After the important portion of the animal skin is being used there are the cheaper layers from which this material is made after spraying a layer of polyurethane on them. After treatment the skin looks like the genuine leather. Imitation leather gloves are often made from this material.
Imitation leather gloves are also made from PVC. Some work gloves that are used for the protection of hands are made from PVC and they have back and cuff made out of cotton. The PVC looks like genuine leather. There are some men’s deer skin fashion gloves made of this material that appear exactly like the genuine deer skin gloves.
There are quite a few other products of imitation leather that is being used in the manufacture of leather gloves. One is the porometric leather. This is made by making a plastic coating on a layer of woven material. Usually the plastic used is polyurethane and the woven material is polyester. The material looks exactly like genuine leather and has better flexibility than leather.
The advantage of artificial leather gloves is that you never contribute to killing animals when you use artificial leather gloves. Another thing is that they are very much cheaper than the genuine leather gloves. The flexibility is also better than some of the leather gloves. However they may not be as durable as the genuine leather gloves.
