These are gloves worn by outdoor sports enthusiasts who venture out during winter. Very often they consist of rechargeable batteries that could be charged before use. With one charge, you could use a pair of heated gloves for about four hours approximately. They provide a temperature of around 95 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
You get different types of heated gloves. Some of the cheaper varieties do not have rechargeable batteries. Instead, they use two AA size alkaline batteries. In the long run it is cheaper to use a pair of heated gloves with lithium iron rechargeable batteries as one battery could be charged up to 500 times.
There are heated gloves made for motorcycle riders also. However, they are very expensive compared to other heated gloves. Since these gloves are not intended for protection of hands, they carry less protective features than other motorcycle gloves. They do not have the armor or the safety features such as knuckle protectors.
These gloves are accepted as a great relief by those who suffer from Reynaud’s Syndrome. Patients who suffer from this disorder find blood circulation to fingers get hampered due to cold weather. Their fingers go white when exposed to cold. Wearing heated gloves they are able to negotiate cold weather.
The biggest complaint against the heated gloves is that the temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit is too low. The critics do not realize that these gloves are not there to make your hands hot but they are there to keep the hands warm.
